Pushing my luck!

Happy Monday crafty friends, how was your weekend? I had a chilled weekend which was just what I needed. I caught up with some reading and bits and pieces around the house and spent time in the sunshine in the garden on Saturday. Today it’s been pouring with rain all day and shows no sign of stopping…. perfect crafting weather! I made today’s card inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

This weekend I did a bit of sorting in my craft room (still lots left to do!) and I found a load of background papers I had made using inks, sprays, paint etc. So I pulled a smooshed inky piece of watercolour paper to use for background. I cut a diagonal slice out of it and trimmed it down to fit a C6 card base. For a focal image I used a digital stamp that I had in my stash, Stella Push My Luck. The sentiment wasn’t going to fit in the panel so I retyped it and printed it out. I coloured Stella in using my Spectrum Noir Triblends and Nuvo alcohol pens. I then fussy cut her and popped her on with 3d pads. To finish the card off I stamped and fussy cut some dumb bells.

Stella’s expression perfectly sums up my feelings about exercise!
