Alphabet Challenge – N for Naughty!

Hi crafty people!  How are you all doing?

There’s a new challenge up today at the Alphabet Challenge and we are now on N for naughty!  This was a fun prompt and it was the perfect excuse to use this bugaboo digital stamp that I purchased recently!

I coloured him with pencils before fussy cutting the image out.  I had some snowy scenes in my paper stash so I used that as a background and added the snowflake trim down the side before adding the image and sentiment.  The finishing touch was some pale blue gems at the bottom corner and one in each of the snowflakes down the side.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #236

Hi crafty people!  I hope you are all having a great week?  I’m popping in today as we have a new challenge starting today over at the Aud Sentiments Challenge.  It’s a great one to enter as anything goes this time!

The challenge is sponsored by Fred She Said who have a beautiful range of digi stamps available.  We are very lucky as design team members as we were gifted an image to work with.  I chose Christmas Rosey which is a super cute set of images complete with a coloured version, sentiment and images.  So without further ado I will share my project….

ChristmasRosey

I printed out the dog image and the sentiment and chose some parcel patterned paper and traditional Christmas colours of cardstock.  I coloured in Rosey with alcohol inks and fussy cut her out.  before deciding on how I wanted to arrange the card.  Once I had played about with the design I put it together and finished off with some gems that I coloured red with an alcohol pens.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I hope you will consider hopping over to the challenge and entering one of your creations.  There are some very beautiful projects from my design team colleagues too.

Stamping with embossing folders

Happy hump day crafty people!  I hope you are having a wonderful week.  A few weeks ago I made some cards using embossing folders to stamp.   I couldn’t resist adding in another project on this theme as I really liked the effect.

This time I pulled out a mandala type embossing folder and I used black archival ink.  When I tried stamping it by hand I didn’t get a good effect at all so I ran it through the big shot to get a better impression as well as embossed.

Once the ink had dried I used a water brush and some distress oxide inks to paint the mandala and than added a stamped sentiment in the centre.  I thought the finished effect was a bit like a tile.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #235

Hi crafty people!  I hope you are having a wonderful week?  Today there is a new challenge kicking off at the Aud Sentiments Challenge.  The theme is autumn or fall and of course to include a sentiment!  The challenge finishes up on the 16th of September so you have plenty of time to get crafty!

This time we have been sponsored by The Paper Shelter and as a design team member I was so lucky to be gifted a beautiful image to work with.  The digi stamp I used is Autumn Enchantment  and it’s a beauty!  I absolutely love autumn as a theme for crafting so this was a treat to make.

I used a Sue Wilson Creative Expressions die to cut the frame to go behind this pretty autumn fairy.  I cut some leaves from card that I had inked up in some autumn colours with distress oxide inks.  The quote was part of a magazine gift stamp set last year.  I coloured my image with alcohol inks and then fussy cut her out before adding her to the card.

I hope you will join us for the challenge, there are some beautiful projects over on the blog from my fellow design team members to give you some inspiration.  Thanks so much for visiting the Ginger Ninja Crafts blog.  Have a fab day.
