Show us your stockings – I dare you!

Happy Friday everyone, can you believe we are nearly at the end of November? I’m looking out at a blue sky this morning but the forecast predicts snow tonight so who knows, Scottish weather can be very changeable and it is a chilly day! Anyway it’s time for another fun Daring Cardmakers Challenge and this week we are daring you to show us your stockings!

I went for a simple card using a stocking die from First Edition (I think, it’s been in my stash for a year or 3!). I used some gold card and a mini paper pad from Craft Sensations which had lots of purple patterns. The background is really easy, I embossed some brick background and then a strip of wood effect card (both were Sizzix Tim Holtz embossing folders) and added some purple layers. The sentiment is from a Woodware stamp set.

I’m looking forward to seeing all your stocking makes. Have a fab weekend

Aud Sentiments #288 – Anything Goes and a Sentiment

Hi there crafty friends, I hope you are all having a lovely week. It’s time for another challenge over at the Aud Sentiments blog and we have an “Anything Goes” prompt this time (as long as the project includes a sentiment!) so it’s super easy for everyone to join in.

I am totally in the festive card making zone at the moment so I kept on that theme and made a card for my Christmas stash! I used an Altenew stamp set which I think came with a magazine last year and a Tonic Studios Jingle Bells sentiment die. I stamped the bells using two shades of yellow ink and cut them out with the coordinating die. I used the foliage stamp to create some leaves for the bells to hang from and added some bows cut from mirror card. I hope you like this clean and simple (well it is for me!) card.

I can’t wait to see everyone’s cards for this challenge. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Jolly Holly-days – I Dare You!

Happy Friday crafty friends! How are you all today? I hope everyone has had a good week. I’m here with the new Daring Cardmakers Challenge and although it’s a festive theme you don’t need to make a Christmas project, plus for November and December it doesn’t need to be a card, it could be any crafty project! So this week we would love to see your holly or winter greenery themed projects.

I decided to go with Mistletoe and I kept it simple with a die cut, some traditional red and green card and a bit of tartan because who doesn’t love a bit of tartan, especially at Christmas?! The sentiment is from an old Clearly Besotted stamp set!

I thought this was really cute so I’ve added it as a new listing to my Etsy shop, you can find it here Merry Kissmas Handmade Card.

Thanks so much for visiting the Ginger Ninja Crafts Blog, I hope to see you again soon!

November Elemental Challenge – we Dare you!

Happy Friday crafty friends! I hope you’ve had a lovely week. It’s time for our elemental challenge at the Daring Cardmakers Challenge and Shabneez has picked a gorgeous selection of images for us to choose from. In case this is your first time you must use a minimum of three elements from this collection of images (colours should just be one element).

I chose to use the fox, the texture of the knitted scarf and the orange, red and brown colours. Here is my make…

I can’t wait to see all your cosy cards using these images for inspiration! Happy crafting

Aud Sentiment #287 – Christmas and a Sentiment

Hi there crafty friends, how are you all this week? My hubby and I are full of the cold at the moment. We’ve had negative covid tests so it seems to just be the seasonal bug that is doing the rounds but we are both feeling pretty rubbish so it’s been a quiet week keeping cosy and trying to recover! It’s time for a new challenge over at the Aud Sentiment blog and seeing as it is now November we have a Christmas theme!

We have the lovely Hetty Clare sponsoring this blog and I was gifted the beautiful Pony Christmas image to use for my design team card. I coloured the digi stamp with my alcohol markers and then added a little colour to the background and trimmed the image before adding a black mat. I used a piece of snowflake paper and a few nuvo drops and of course a sentiment!

I love this cute pony trotting along with his parcel, just so cute! I hope that you are all keeping well and having a crafty week. Thanks for visiting my blog!
