The male room challenge – geometric

Hi crafty people.  I hope you are having a fab weekend.  Today I’m sharing a card for the Male Room Challenge which has a geometric theme currently. Here is my finished card…..

I decided to create a back ground with a stencil and my favourite pixie powders in midnight blue and teal wash.  The I used a Dovecraft stamp from the Lost and Found set because it had a triangle shape which I thought fitted well with the theme and the arrow background.  Then I cut three triangles and decided to make them into mountains so I gave them snowy peaks and arranged them on the card.

I hope that you like my card and thanks for stopping by to see this blog post.

Happy Friday!  How’s your week been?  I hope you have a fun weekend planned.  Today I am sharing a card I made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, with this sketch….

FMS Final 355-001

I’m still loving the Halloween build up so I’ve gone for another spooky theme!  The stamps are from the Whoo to You set from Clearly Besotted Stamps.

I hope that you like my card today and thanks so much for stopping by,

Fusion card challenge citrus … or …. Christmas!

Hi crafty people!  I hope you are having a good week and staying safe in the stormy weather.

Today I’m sharing my entry for the current Fusion card challenge….Fusion Citrus-001

This time I decided to opt for just the sketch and I was itching to use the free gift that came with issue 8 of Love Cardmaking magazine that I bought this morning (I think I have an addiction to craft magazines!)

So here is my card….

I used the cross stitch effect embossing folder, the stamps and the embroidery hoop dies from the set.  I just added a couple of patterned papers and voila!  I used to do lots of cross stitch and this set has made me think about picking it up again.  So many crafts so little time!

I hope you like my card and thanks so much for stopping by the blog.

Freshly Made Sketches 353

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great week.  Today I am sharing a card I made for the new Freshly Made Sketches Challenge (check it out at Freshly Made Sketches 353)

The sketch for the challenge this week is….

FMS Final 353-001

I know it’s only just the start of September but I had ordered a couple of new Halloween stamp sets and I couldn’t resist using them today!  So I decided to have a play with some distress oxide inks for smooshing the backgrounds and then coloured and fussy cut the stamped images.  I absolutely love these wee ghosts, so sweet!

I used a bit of mixture of alcohol pens to colour as I don’t have a full set of any brand!  My mixture includes the Spectrum Noirs, First Edition markers by Trimcraft and Nuvo by Tonic.  I would love to try some Copic markers but I haven’t made the investment yet as they are pretty pricey!

So I ended up making two cards but I think I’m going to enter the green one because I am loving the wee Frankenstein ghost!

Have you started making any Halloween projects or do you think it’s too early?  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my blog post.

Ginger Ninja Crafts is on Etsy!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today I thought I would share a little about the Ginger Ninja Craft Shop on Etsy.  This is my fab logo which my husband’s talented nephew created for me inspired by my very fluffy ginger cat (although he seems to think he’s a parrot perched on my shoulder here!)

I love being crafty and designing and making cards is my favourite crafty pastime so having a shop is the perfect excuse to make lots of stock!  I’ve had orders from all over the world, from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, USA, Canada, Chile and all over Europe and it’s always exciting to know my cards have traveled so far.

Do any of you sell on Etsy?  I’d love to check out your shops if you do and if you pop over to my wee corner of Etsy let me know what you think.  Have a great day

Male Room Challenge #93 – Photography & Cameras

Hi crafty people, how’s your Monday going?  My week has got off to a productive start and I’ve been making lots of lists and setting myself tasks in my diary.  I’ve also been making this card for the Male Room Challenge ( Male Room Challenge #93 ) which has the theme Photography and Cameras.

I pulled out a Paper Smooches stamp set (We Totally Click) and die of a Polaroid camera.  I paper pieced the camera and added some Glossy Accents to the lens to make it look more realistic.  Then I used the mini camera stamp and heat embossed it in silver on black card stock to create the background.  I hope you like my card and if you haven’t entered the challenge already why not give it a try?  I’ve been playing for a few weeks now and I’ve loved the varied prompts.  It’s also been a great way to build up a stash of cards suitable for men.  Thanks so much for visiting my blog, hopefully I’ll see you again soon!
