100 Things Challenge #22-31

Hi crafty people, I’m back this weekend with another update on my 100 Things challenge where I try to use up some of my crafty stash by making one hundred crafty projects.  Some of these have been on the blog before and some are featured for the first time.  They are mostly cards with one exception which is an altered notebook for my lovely friend Caroline who I do regular crafty swaps with.  I hope that you like this selection.

Have a fab Saturday and thanks again for stopping by.

100 Things Challenge #11-21

Happy Saturday everyone, today I have a quick post sharing the next 10 things from my “100 things challenge”.  Quite a few of these projects have been in other blog posts so I’m not going into detail but just giving an overview.  I need to start using more items in my stash that I tend to hoard, so far I’ve been making an effort to use more gems and enamel dots and some patterned papers.

I hope you have a fab weekend with some crafty time.  Thanks again for stopping by.

100 Things Challenge #5-#10

Happy Fri-yay!  Today I’m sharing a few pictures of items I’ve made for my 100 Things Challenge.  In a nutshell the challenge is to use up some of my crafty stash to make 100 things before shopping for new craft items!  These are items 5-10 and it’s a bit of a mix.  There is a couple of cards you have seen that I did for challenges.  The 40th birthday card was a request from a customer for a James Bond fan.  I made a batch of gift tags for Christmas as I’ve started making a few Christmas projects.  I used up some scraps of paper and a flower punch and added some gems (I seem to have amassed a big pile of bling….. a wonderful problem to have!) so I have a supply of little embellishments for happy mail, pocket letters etc.  Finally I made a Traveller’s Notebook insert.  I was in Paris for a few days with my husband in May and the plan is to put some photographs, tickets, memories etc in.  Hopefully I will get some spreads done and share them in this 100 things challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you liked seeing some of my projects and I’ll be back next week with the next batch.

Crafting with what I have – a new challenge!

Happy hump day crafty people!  Today I thought I would share a challenge I started yesterday.  As I was sitting in my craft room surrounded by so many crafty goodies I came across Dances with Pitbulls on youtube and her 100 things challenge (if you look for #dwpc100thingschallenge you will find lots of inspiring videos).  The idea is that you have to make 100 “things” before you buy more crafty goodies (apart from glue).  The “things” are not necessarily individual items, they might be a collection of similar items or one larger project.  I thought this would be perfect to give me some focus to use up some of my stash, particularly some of paper scraps, die cuts and sparkly bits and pieces.

So today I am sharing the first 4 “things” and as you will see I am building up a good supply of items for crafty swaps and happy mail.

The first thing I made was this ATC using a new die set which I couldn’t wait to play with.  I think it’s perfect for a summer swap.

Then I used some scraps of summer paper and a die from a magazine set to make these fun sun glass postage stamps.  I might use them on mini cards or in a pocket letter.

Then I got a bit carried away with these mini envelopes embellishments with some card scraps, stamped watermelon and a few gems which were gifted to me in a crafty swap.  Again I will probably use some in a pocket letter and pop some on mini cards to go in with swaps and happy mail.

Then in the heatwave of July I made some Christmas versions with these cute mini ginger bread men! Hehe you’ve got to start somewhere with Christmas crafts!

So I’m 4 down and 96 to go, I’ll share a few at a time on here.  If you are doing the challenge I’d love to see what you are making too (I’m sure I will need ideas soon!).  Thanks so much for stopping by.
