This challenge is sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls  who very kindly gifted all of the design team members a digi stamp to use.  I was very lucky to be given  Arabian Princess  for this blog post.

I also used these Arabian Nights Papers which were a free download from Papercrafter Magazine.  How perfect are these for this digi stamp?

I used some patterned papers for different layers and I also fussy cut elements to create a scene and for the sentiment, “make a wish”.  I hope my card brings a smile today and that you make a wish or three today…. you never know !

Being good is overrated!!

Happy Monday!  How are you all doing?  I hope you had a fab weekend.  I was in Glasgow yesterday at the craft fair at the SECC and I picked up a few new crafty items to play with!  We also were celebrating the Springboks win and looking forward to the Rugby World Cup final next weekend!

I had such fun playing along with the Cat Lover’s Blog Hop last week so it’s feeling a little strange to be sharing a project that doesn’t have a single cat on it!  I was inspired by the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge #146 for this project.

I decided to use the Good to be Bad stamp set from Clearly Besotted.  I used some pink glitter card and made an inky background for my witch by smooshing distress oxides in abandoned coral and picked raspberry as well as the milled lavender distress ink.  I added some little star stamps and the sentiment heat embossed in white.

I used the spectrum noir sparkle pen in crystal clear over the witches outfit to make it a little more bling!

I’d also like to enter this project into the Cardz 4 Gals challenge which is to use something beginning with S.  I’m counting the sparkly elements and the stars!  I’m also including this card in theLeigh SB Designs 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop (I’m a little late to the game but better late than never!)

Day 6 of the Cat Lovers Hop

Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  It’s the last day of the Cat Lovers Hop today and I’m sad to see it finish but I’ve really enjoyed hopping around the different blogs and seeing such a great variety of cat themed crafts.

2019 CLH Badge1

My last project is a Christmas card using the beautiful cat die set from Marianne Designs and also the collectables outfit die set for the hat and scarf.  I used grey cards to make a silver tabby and then dressed him in a cosy red scarf and hat.  I thought the scarf looked a bit plain so I used a white gel pen to add some spots.

I added some starry paper with some red and navy card and used a festive sentiment from the Hobby Art stamp set Santa Paws.

Thanks so much for everyone who has visited the blog and left a comment, especially my fellow hoppers!

Day 5 Cat Lovers Hop

Happy Friday!  But in the mean time I’m back with another cat project for the Cat Lovers Hop.  If you are looking for more information on this fun blog hop check out Janis at Her Peaceful Garden, she has put in so much work to make this such a great week.

2019 CLH Badge1

Today’s card uses the Feline Fine stamp set from Clearly Besotted Stamps .  I used the current sketch from the Fusion Card Challenge for the layout.  I coloured my images using alcohol inks and fussy cut them out.

20191023_120243.jpg

The patterned papers were in my scrap pile and I used a strip of gray card and stamped the sentiment onto this.

I hope you like this little card, it’s always good to have a few get well cards in my stash so I can send it out when a friend is under the weather.  Thanks so much for visiting the blog.

Alphabet Challenge – P for Poppies – DT

Happy Friday everyone!  The weekend is in sight and I’m looking forward to a good one catching up with friends, watching the rugby world cup semi finals (Go Bokke!) and going to a craft fair! In the mean time I’m here with a new challenge over at the Alphabet Challenge.

Alphabet blog badge 2

This time we are on P for Poppies.  I love poppies and I was delighted to have an excuse to use my Altenew Layered Poppies stamp set that came with a recent issue of Simply Cards and Papercraft.

20191023_120218.jpg

I heat embossed the outlines using the Wow rose gold embossing powder.  The poppy was stamped with memento inks in Tangelo and Morocco and the stem and leaves were stamped with Izink in Emeraude and memento ink in Cottage Ivy.

I hope you will join in with the challenge too.  Thanks so much for visiting my blog and I will be back very soon with my post for day 5 of the Cat Lovers Blog Hop, hopefully see you then!

Day 4 of the Cat Lovers Hop

Happy Thursday!  I hope you are having a good week.  I’ve been having lots of fun participating in the Cat Lovers Hop (hosted by the lovely Janis over at Her Peaceful Garden.  If you are a cat fan like me it’s worth hopping over to see the huge range of projects and entering in the different daily challenges as there are lots of amazing prizes.

2019 CLH Badge1

As it’s day 4 and I only have 3 cats today’s project is not inspired by any of my own fluffy family members!  I used stamps from the Cute Kitties collection by For the Love of Stamps.  I coloured the cat with a water brush and some distress inks (pumice stone and barn door) and distress oxide in blue print sketch.

20191021_160746

I stamped a background with the cute little mouse from the stamp set and then used a stamp die from my stash and added a purrrfect sentiment!

20191021_160741

I hope you are all having a purrrfect day.  Thanks so much for visiting the blog and I hope you will pop back soon.

Day 3 of the Cat Lovers Hop 2019

Happy hump day everyone!  How are you today?  I’m back with my third post for the Cat Lovers Hop organised by the lovely Janis at Her Peaceful Garden.

2019 CLH Badge1

So far this week I’ve shared projects inspired by Pepper and Mr Darcy and our third cat Pepper is feeling a little left out!  So today I’d like to put him firmly in the spotlight!

20191001_124637.jpg

Spats is our gorgeous tuxedo cat and he often hangs out with my in my craft room, sometimes sitting on my big shot cutting plates!  He is an independent soul, who doesn’t like cats but enjoys exploring in the garden and eating everything he possible can!  For my project today I used the sketch from the CAS sketch#344 and my Marianne Designs cat die set.  The sentiment is from a Stampendous cat phrase set.

20191023_120231.jpg

I used a strip of starry paper from my scrap pile and cut a scallop edged piece of gray card.  I’m not very good with CAS cards so I added some paw prints over the gray to add some interest!  I hope you like my mini Spats, he is suitably aloof but I think is inwardly pleased to be included!!  Thanks so much for all of the lovely comments from my fellow hoppers this week.  I’m trying to get round to everyone’s blogs and I’m loving seeing all the talented crafters.

Day 2 of the Cat Lovers Hop!

Hi crafty people!  I hope you are having a great Tuesday.  It’s day 2 of the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop which is hosted by the lovely Janis at Her Peaceful Garden and she has a great selection of participants and some amazing prizes!

2019 CLH Badge1

Today’s project is inspired by Mr Darcy (AKA the Ginger Ninja, or Ginger Whinger as he is very vocal!)

IMG-20191020-WA0000 (2)

This digital stamp was a free download of Paper Nest Dolls super hero images from Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine.  I printed the super cat image and coloured him in with alcohol pens and I used my polychromos pencil in walnut brown.  Once I fussy cut him out I added him to my card.

20191022_110835.jpg

I think the Wow die came from xcut but I can’t find the packaging so I might be wrong!  I added a sentiment from a Clearly Besotted stamp set.

20191022_110830.jpg

I’m not sure what Mr Darcy’s super power would be….. probably his ability to hide from the cat sitter!  Have a fab Tuesday and I will see you tomorrow for another day of cat lover hopping!

Thanks so much to everyone who has left a lovely comment on my blog, the crafting community is such a kind and supportive bunch of people.

Day 1 of the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop!

Happy Monday crafty people! I hope you had a fab weekend.  We were celebrating the Springbok’s win yesterday at the Rugby World Cup and looking forward to the semi finals next weekend!  In the mean time Janis over at Her Peaceful Garden is hosting the fifth Cat Lovers Hop and I’m excited to be joining in for the first time!

2019 CLH Badge1

As a proud crazy cat lady I just had to join in!  My first project for the week is inspired by our eldest cat, Pepper who is 17 years old but very young at heart!

20191021_153244

I used the Furry Friends stamp set from Rare Earth which I was lucky to win a few months ago in a Facebook competition.  There is a lovely selection of cats and sentiments on this set.  I chose this cute cat peeking around the corner as it always reminds me of Pepper.  I stamped him using black ink and then used distress ink in pumice stone and antique linen with a water brush to add colour to his fur.  I used a very watered down broken china for his eyes.  To finish off I used black and white gel pens to add a few details to the eyes and nose.

20191021_160702

I hope that you like my first cat themed project of the week!  Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog and I hope that you will check out the hop via Janis’s blog posts this week.
