Hi crafty people, I hope you are all having a good weekend. It’s another overcast day here but the first of my sunflowers made an appearance this morning (perfect SAL timing!) so here it is….
I don’t really know where the time has gone in the last three weeks but I only managed a little bit of stitching. So here is where I was last time….
This what it looks like now…
This SAL is organised by the lovely Avis. who keeps us all on track (it’s always a surprise to me when the email comes in and I think it cannot be 3 weeks already!!)
I’m looking forward to catching up with all the other blogs in this SAL group. Please give them a visit too, I’ve linked them here so you can easily find them.
Avis , Claire, Gun, Carole, Sue, Constanze ,Christina, Kathy , Margaret , Cindy , Heidi , Jackie , Sunny , Hayley ,Megan , Deborah , Mary Margaret, Renee, Carmela, Sharon, Daisy, Anne ,Connie , AJ, Laura, Cathie and Linda, and Helen
Stay safe and be gentle with yourself at this time.
Crafty hugs
Jenny (AKA the Ginger Ninja!) x
looks like a fair bit of progress to me!

Perfect timing indeed! The flower in your garden is stunning ❤ I think you made a lot of progress with all that center flower fill in and butterfly. Great job!

Thanks Christina, it’s amazing how little bits of time stitching do make a bit of progress even if at the time you don’t think it’s much. The SAL is a great way to notice it I think. x

That’s still progress, so hurrah! Love your sunflower! We had one volunteer, but the bud was damaged in the hail, so it is looking quite deformed, though I think it will still bloom.

Aw fingers crossed the flower can bloom, I’m amazed ours have survived the wind we’ve been having recently, I must tie them up better in case! x

You filled in a lot of the center of that flower. That is a lot of progress. It is a cloudy overcast day here today also. Hmmm, good day for some stitching.

That’s very true, I’ve been doing some stitching and watching old episodes of the Office, perfect weather for it! Thanks for your kind comment x

Great stitching! I love the real sunflower too 🙂 Two of mine have just popped but they’re burnt orange colour. I think I prefer your yellow one. My yellow ones are only just getting buds.

Oo lovely, we had a deep red one year which were really striking, but I think I prefer the yellow ones too, they are such cheerful flowers. x

I love sunflowers, and your stitched ones are beautiful! It seems to me that you have done quite a lot! I always intend to grow sunflowers, but somehow get my timing wrong.

Both of your sunflowers are lovely — I walk near someone’s sunflowers most mornings and they always brighten my morning. Great progress!

Lots of great progress Jenny. I have lots of sunflowers in the garden this year but I haven’ t planted any, so I am assuming the birds have been throwing their food about.
