It’s only been three weeks since the last SAL (stitch-a-long) but what a lot has changed, we are currently on lock down and thankfully safe and well. I thought I would have done a lot of stitching but my mind has been so distracted with all the news and changes in daily life. However I think we are starting to find our routines again and my concentration is starting to improve. This is where I was last time….
and this is the progress I’ve made since then…
I think there is a bit of progress and hopefully in another three weeks there will be some more!
This SAL is organised by the lovely Avis. The idea is to finish off a UFO (or Unfinished Object!) and let me tell you I have lots of those! If you fancy joining in then contact Avis and she will give you all the information you need.
I’m looking forward to catching up with all the other blogs in this SAL group, please give them a visit too, I’ve linked them here so you can easily find them.
Avis , Claire, Gun, Carole, Sue, Constanze ,Christina, Kathy , Margaret , Cindy , Heidi , Jackie , Sunny , Hayley ,Megan , Deborah , Mary Margaret, Renee, Carmela, Jocelyn, Sharon, Daisy, Anne ,Connie , AJ, Laura, Cathie and Linda.
Stay safe and be gentle with yourself at this time.
Crafty hugs
Jenny (AKA the Ginger Ninja!) x
I take it this is a completely new project Jenny. Does this mean you actually finished your UFOs or are you taking a break from them. It looks lovely and I can certainly see progress.
Sorry not been commenting much – started the isolation by playing on the computer far too much and started the bad heads off again so been really trying to avoid it as much as possible.

Lovely to hear from you, I started it a few weeks ago as I was n’t feeling motivated to pick up my UFOs and I had in the pile of projects, bit of a cheat but it’s got me stitching again! Hope your head aches are easing off and you’re keeping your spirits up. Stay safe and well, Jenny xx

That’s just gorgeous. Can’t wait to see it completed. A sew a long sounds fab. I’m currently trying to finish some fabric pouches but cooking all this food is getting in the way ( my family seem to be needing food regularly for some reason 😂) x

Aw I might have to learn to sew if I keep eating I might need a new wardrobe when we get to the other side of this! 🙂 xx

Hehe it’s actually a cat but he must look like a bird at the moment, maybe once I start doing further up his face he will be more feline, I’ve had a few bird comments. xx

You have made some progress. During this trying time I am determined to stay away from the news for most of the day and concentrate on working from home as necessary and working on crafting. I am looking at it as an opportunity to finish some WIPs.

That’s a great way to cope, the news is pretty scary and so much is not accurate. I try to catch the Scottish gov updates from our first minister as I find her reassuring and practical but some days it’s just too much. Take good care Cathie xx

All the white shades make the feathers look like down. Beautiful stitching Jenny 🙂

I love the muted colours in this piece.

Thanks, it does look lovely but the difference in colour is really subtle, lots of concentration to make sure I’ve got the right shade! Think it’s my eyes getting older! xx

I need to figure out which threads to use as the pattern is for a yellow eye but I want to give him green eyes like my late cat. xx

Hi Jenny, lovely progress on this lovely piece. Strange times we are living in for sure. This is week 3 of self isolation for us and apparently, Canada is flattening the curve, they think, so this will be worth it in the end. Hang in there.

Aw that’s so good to hear, it’s not easy but wonderful to think it is making a difference and saving lives. I just hope we acted quickly enough here. Thanks for your kind message. xx
