Artist Trading Cards

Everyday kindness

Happy Weekend Crafty People!  I hope you are finding some time for creativity this weekend.  Today I am sharing the first post where I use the masterboard I made yesterday.

This project was inspired by the Happy Little Stampers March ATC challenge which has the theme of “hearts”

I used a 2.5 x 3.5 inch piece as the base for an ATC (artist trading card).  I wanted some inky hearts to choose from.  I took some off cuts of inky paper that I had left over from previous projects.

I used grey and black ink and stamped on some ink splashes, coffee mug rings, text, postmarks etc from the Vintage Collage stamp set from Crafty Individuals.

Then I die cut a different sizes of hearts and gave them a black edge with a sharpie.

I added some black stamping on the ATC background and then layered up some textured paper with the hearts and some words from Tim Hotz Idea-ology chitchat set.

Although I initially wasn’t happy with the masterboard I like what it has turned into!  I hope that you like my little ATC and enjoy the rest of your Saturday.

Dead Gorgeous!

Hi crafty people, how’s your day going?  I’m back with a cheeky entry for the current Male Room Challenge which asks for a gorgeous green card.

I had been asked recently if I made any zombie themed cards and I hadn’t so this is my first attempt!  I’m not very brave when it comes to scary films and zombies really freak me out but card versions aren’t too scary really!

I used these scary hand dies which I got on ebay and the Tim Holtz Zombie stamp set.

To make a background I cut a circle from a post it and used that as a mask to keep a white moon on my inky background.  I used peeled paint distress ink around the edges and then blended in cracked pistachio distress oxide ink.

When I peeled off the post it circle it left a really nice sharp white moon.  I added some zombie hands reaching from the the ground and mounted it all on a black square.  The sentiment is heat embossed in white on black with some green glitter behind it.

I thought the sentiments in the stamp set were all cute but this one made me giggle!  I hope that you like my zombies (if zombies are likable characters!)

Thanks so much for visiting my blog, it’s so lovely to have people leave a like or a comment.  I hope to see you again soon.
