Crafty makes and garden pics

Hi crafty people, how is your weekend going? I hope you are finding time for some relaxation and fun.  We’ve had a lovely weekend.  We went to the cinema on Friday night to see Robert the Bruce which was excellent.  Yesterday I met up with friends for a walk and then my hubby and I went out for dinner at a restaurant in our village and we made it home in time for him to see South Africa win at the cricket so he was very happy!  Today I’ve been pottering in the garden with the cats and I thought I would share a few pics before I get onto the main business of sharing a crafty make!!  Having the greenhouse has allowed me to plant lots of things from seed (including all of these in the pics).  You’ll see peas, courgettes (green and yellow), nasturtiums, livingstone daisies, marigolds, aubergines and cucumber plants.

This is the card I made for the following challenges:

My Time To Craft Challenge #400 Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

The theme was the perfect excuse for me to use my Tracey Hey stamps again!  I do love those stamps!!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and I hope to see you again soon!

Happy birthday sausage!

Happy Tuesday crafty people!  I hope you are having a good day.  Today I’m sharing a card for the My Time To Craft It’s raining cats and dogs challenge.  As an out and out cat lady I tend to make quite a lot of cat projects so I opted to go for a dog theme for a change!  I had bought this sausage dog stamp from Woodware a long time ago and I don’t think I ever used it so the time had come.

I stamped it out and coloured in with alcohol pens.  The rounded the edges with a punch and then stamped one of the sentiments from the set.  I was a bit disappointed with the blending (or complete lack of!) with the black nuvo pen but I went with it anyway as that was the last bit of colouring! Ugh…..

Pink and girly challenge

Hi crafty people, I hope you are all having a great day.

The current My Time to Craft Challenge prompt is for a pink and girly card!  Well I think this might just count!  I pulled out my Marianne Designs Eline’s Horse and Unicorn die set and a selection of pink card stocks!  I added some spotty paper and embossed a lilac circle with a pretty star embossing folder.  The cloud die is from the rainbow set from Elizabeth Craft Designs rainbow set.  I raised the middle cloud on some 3d pads to give a little dimension.

I hope that you like my pink and girly card, I really enjoyed making it!  Thanks so much for visiting the blog, I appreciate every comment and like so much.

Musical birthday wishes

Happy weekend crafty people!  What are you up to?  I’m having a lovely chilled out Saturday, reading my book (The Rabbit Back Literature Society by Pasi Ilmari Jaaskelainen – loving it so far!) and catching up on some crafty blogs until my husband gets home from his golf game.  I’m here to share a card I made for a birthday boy celebrating today and I’d like to enter it in the My Time To Craft Challenge .  The current theme is “men only”, I think 9 years old can count as a young man for this occasion!

The birthday boy has started learning to play guitar so it seemed the perfect excuse to pull out the Tonic Studios guitar die.  I kept it pretty simple with the guitar and the sentiment but I thought it looked a little plain so I added the three stars in the complementing colours.

I hope you like my card and that you are having a fantastic Saturday.  Thanks so much for visiting the blog and I hope to see you again soon.
