Anniversary trip to London

Hi crafty people, I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  I’m back today to share the anniversary card I made for my lovely husband.  We both love pizza so it was a perfect excuse to pull out the Lawn Fawn Pizza My Heart stamp set.

I started by stamping the heart shaped pizza, the cutter and a pizza slice.  I added some pepperoni and mushrooms to the pizza and then coloured with alcohol inks.  I finished off the pepperoni slices with some dots using a white gel pen.  I fussy cut out these elements and added some kraft card and red card mats.  The sentiments on the front are from the Lawn Fawn set and the inside sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

We celebrated our anniversary on a short trip to London and I thought I would share a few pictures of the highlights of the break.  We had booked a tour at the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour which was amazing.  There is so much to see as you wander around the sets they used in the films, from the costumes, the creatures and a sneak peak into some of the secrets of quidditch.  We even had a taste of butter beer! We also visited the Tower of London, the British Museum, Tower Bridge and went to see the Tina Turner musical, a fabulous show!

Have you been up to anything fun this week?  Thanks so much for visiting the blog and I hope to see you again soon.

Owl I want for Christmas is you!

Happy Monday crafty people!  How was your weekend?  We had a really nice weekend although I didn’t really get much on the to do list done!

Today I’m sharing my entry for Freshly Made Sketches Challenge (367) and the sketch for this challenge is …FMS367

I opted to use the Lawn Fawn Winter Owl stamp set and some papers from my pile I’m trying to use up.  I used a snowy paper for the background and then this textured white cardstock for the front panel.  I can’t remember where I got it but I thought it could almost pass for swirls of snow!

I coloured the owl with alcohol pens and added glossy accents to the eyes.

I hope you like my wee festive owl.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Wicked Wednesday - Halloween projects

Wicked Wednesday 4

Happy hump day crafty people!  I hope you are all having a fab week and getting in the mood for Halloween!  I’ve been reading some spooky tales, watching some scary movies (well scary to me although I am a wimp!) and making some ghostly projects!

Today I’ve got a couple of cards to share with you.

The first uses the Booyah stamp set from Lawn Fawn which I love!  It has lots of different elements to make a selection of ghosts.  For the above card I went with a Frankenstein, vampire and pirate.  Then I used the Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Violet Brocade to make a background which I then cut 3 circles from once it was dry.  I heat embossed the sentiment in white on black card.  I added some purple gems to give a little bling.

The spider web paper for both of these cards came from the downloads in the member’s section of the Create and Craft website.

The second card I pulled out an old stamp set which I love from Clearly Besotted.  The Good to be Bad set has a selection of fairy tale baddies and I stamped and coloured the three witches from the set.  I used the same format as the first card.  Instead of gems this time I used the spider stamp from the Booyah set to add some creepy crawlies.  I thought the sentiment was perfect for these three girls!

I hope that you like this week’s wicked Wednesday projects.  I’d love to read your comments.  Expect a couple of extra Halloween posts over the next week until Halloween a week today.

Thanks so much for reading my blog, have a great week.

Wicked Wednesday - Halloween projects · Wicked Wednesday!

Wicked Wednesday 3

Happy hump day crafty people!  Today I’m back with another Halloween themed crafty project for Wicked Wednesday.  Today’s project is to make some cute little haunted houses using a Tonic Studios die set.

The dies I used are meant for a Ginger bread house for Christmas time.  I switched up the colours and left off the gingerbread man and the Christmas tree etc.  I added some glitter stickles on the roof and used a ghost die cut to decorate the purple house and some cute ghosts from my Lawn Fawn Booyah stamps for the other.  I’ve popped these on my bookcase with a battery powered tea light inside to make the house look extra spooky!

I hope that you like these cute haunted houses, I’d love to hear about any of your Halloween craft projects.

Wishing you a speedy recovery

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend and that your Monday is going well.  Today I’m back on the card challenge train and I’m sharing my card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, FMS 341 ( )

I went with a get well soon theme and this is my card for the challenge…..

I used stamps from two Lawn Fawn sets (Get Well Soon and On the Mend) and coloured the images with alcohol pens.

I embossed a white card background and then used a chevron embossing folder to make an embossed resist background with distress inks (cracked pistachio, squeezed lemondae and twisted citron).  Then I die cut two different size of circles and punched some smaller circles.

What do you think?  I really liked chevron paper I made and love the cute lawn fawn images.  Happy Monday everyone!
