Shhhh….. fairies!

Yay, it’s Saturday!  I hope you are having a lovely weekend and managing to fit in some crafty time.  Today I am sharing a card I made for happy mail recently.

I used a fairy die and stamp from Joanna Sheen as well as a stamp from the Garden Fairy set from Woodware.

I cut a diagonal from the card front and decorated the card base with patterned papers and some star die cuts.  Then used paper piecing to give the fairy gold wings, a sparkly dress and dark hair and I coloured her skin with alcohol pens.  Lastly I added some gold stickles to her wand.

Inside I added some white card so there is a space to write a message and added the Shhhh…. fairies stamp.

I hope you like this wee fairy.  I’d love to hear what crafty projects you have been spending time on this week.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Gorjuss girl easel cards

Hi crafty people, hope Tuesday is treating you well!  I’m back today sharing a couple of cards I made to send as happy mail to some lovely crafty people.  Now I know that they have been received I can share here.  I made them both using Gorjuss Girl stamps from Santoro.  I wanted to make easel cards so I made two different ones to fit in with the size of the stamps.

For both cards I stamped the focal image with black Archival Ink and used watercolour pencils and a water brush to colour them in.

The first card I fussy cut out the foreground of the stamp and then stamped and heat embossed the cloud and raindrops in silver on a dark purple card stock.  I added some heat embossed stars which were also in the stamp set.  Then I layered up the gorjuss girl onto the background.

The second card I used some decorative papers to mat and layer in the card panels.  The finishing touch was a few sparkly gems.

I hope that you like these two cards, it was my first time playing with these stamps they are larger than a lot of the stamps I use.  I’d love to hear what you think.
