Fairy Magic! – Aud Sentiments #278

Hi crafty friends, I hope you are all having a great week. It’s time for another challenge over at the Aud Sentiments blog and this is a really fun one! Our theme is “Fairy Magic” and of course, a sentiment!

My husband and I recently spent a week on the Isle of Skye and it was jam packed with fairy related places. We walked up to see the fairy pools, we visit the fairy Glen, a fairy bridge and saw the fairy flag in Dunvegan castle. No actual fairy sightings to report but that is probably a good thing as they are not really the cute friendly creatures of cartoons! Here are a few pictures of some of the fairy attractions of Skye!

But back to the challenge! We are lucky to be sponsored by Digi Doodles Studios this time and they kindly gifted the design team members an image to use.

I was delighted to be gifted Adelina Fairy, who I coloured with my triblend markers with a little extra shading from my polychromos pencils. For my magical background I used thee Catherine Pooler reinkers (It’s a Girl, Melon Ice and Sweet Sixteen). I sprayed some 300 gsm card with water and dropped the three colours on before spraying with more water to move the colurs around and create a pattern I liked. Once it was totally dried I cut various sizes of circles. I arranged these on a square card blank and added a sentiment and some magic fairy dust stars before popping Adelina on top with some card under to add dimension.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #261 – Autumn/Halloween

Hi crafty people! How are you today? I hope you’ve had a good week so far. We had a chilly start when our boiler stopped working! Thankfully we took out a boiler maintenance policy at the start of the year so we were able to get an engineer out to fix it and we have hot water and heat again! Phew, we were so grateful for that hot water! Anyway it’s time for a new Aud Sentiments challenge today so I am delighted to let you all know what we are looking for this time!

As it’s the 1st of October the theme is autumn or Halloween! I love both of these themes, and I’m so excited for it to be October! The sponsor for this challenge is Digi Doodle Studios, who have been really kind in gifting the design team members an image to use.

I got the witchy shoes digi stamp which is so cute! Who doesn’t love a cute pair of shoes…. and even better I don’t have to break my ankle trying to walk in these!!

I printed out the image and coloured it with polychromo pencils and added details with stickles and my spectrum noir glitter pen.

As it’s the Aud Sentiments challenge we always need to include a sentiment! I didn’t have a suitable one in my stash so I had a little browse on pinterest to find some inspiration, then I typed one out and printed it, added some black card and popped it on the card.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #244

Hi crafty people!  The Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog has a new challenge launching today and the theme is a Love or Valentine sentiment.

Challenge #244 is sponsored by Digi Doodle Studios who have some fabulous digi stamps.

The design team were kindly gifted an image to use and I was very lucky to be given the  Close to My Heart digi stamp which is super cute!  I coloured her in with alcohol pens and added some detail/shading with my polychromos pencils.

Aud Sentiments 242

Hi crafty people!  I hope you are having a great week.  It’s such a hectic time of year that I’ve hardly been on my blog and I’m missing it.  I’m hoping to get a bit of time later today with a cuppa to read through some blog posts and see what everyone has been up to.

I’m here to share my contribution to the new Aud Sentiments Challenge which is to create a winter or Christmas themed project with a sentiment.
