Opposites ATCs

Hey crafty people, I thought today I would share some ATCs that I made for a swap last month as my partner has received them now!  This swap was through a facebook group of lovely people and the theme was to make 5 double sided ATCs that had opposites on each side.  So here’s what I came up with….

The “sweet” side background was created with distress inks and heat embossed sweety stamps.  I used pixie powders to create the background for the “sour” side and I added glossy accents to the lemons.

The hot background is a napkin which stuck to the card with modge podge and again I used pixie powders on the “cold” background (I’m addicted to those powders!)

I used a stencil for the “light” background with some spiced marmalade distress oxide ink.  The “dark” side was so easy peasy but I love all those googly eyes staring out!

This was a bit of a cheat really, just die cuts and patterned paper but I quite liked the effect.

More distress oxides for these backgrounds and a some ranger silver spray for the stars.

What do you think?  Do you do any crafty swaps?  I love seeing how people interpret the themes differently and use techniques that I haven’t tried or thought of.  I’d love to hear what you think in the comments.

Musical theme ATCs

Hi crafters, today I thought I would share some ATCs I made for a recent crafty swap.  The theme was “If music be the food of love” and here is my set.

I used a two sets of stamps from Creative Stamping magazine, distress inks, a musical note stencil and some ink spray and texture paste.

I love making ATCs and trying different techniques out.  What do you think?  Do you make ATCs too?  Do you have a favourite technique to use in ATCs?
