Hi crafty friends, I hope you are doing well. It’s a gorgeous sunny day in Scotland and spring has most definitely sprung. I’ve been sorting out the garden and it’s lovely to be outside in mild weather. I hope you are all doing well. I’m excited to share a finish with you today as well as show my next project which is well under way. So this is where I was 3 week ago…..
I was so close so it didn’t take much to finish off the project (excuse the blue light!)….
I had already decided to start on a new Barbara Ana design called Dream Girl from Creative Poppy. It’s a SAL and I think there are 4 parts out. I used the threads they recommended but changed to a cloud printed aida instead of the teal blue even weave which I couldn’t find available to me in lockdown! Here is where I am…
I’m excited to see what else will be included in the design! I’ll share more in another 3 weeks.
This SAL is organised by the lovely Avis. and it’s a bit different than many SALs because we are all working on our own projects at our own pace. It’s really helpful to me as a way of pushing me forward to complete projects (I just need to actually get them fully finished into frames etc but one step at a time!) Please visit the other SAL members blogs, they are such a talented group who are working on really beautiful projects. I’ve linked them here so you can easily find them.

Stay safe and be gentle with yourself at this time.

lovely happy dance, Jenny! it’s been a pleasure to see you working on these gorgeous sunflowers!
and ooooooh! I really like Barbara Ana, and your new project looks very intriguing! Loving the colours so far, and the quaker effect on the girls hair!
Jenny – happy dance on the Gorgeous Sunflowers! It’s really stunning. Love your new project too. I would love to do that for my granddaughter! It’s warming up here too and I have enjoyed getting out into the garden also 🙂
Your sunflowers look real! They’re such rich colours and beautifully stitched. Enjoy your happy dance! The new project looks like fun too 🙂
Happy dancing with you Jenny! It’s a beautiful project, and your next one is so different, what a fun change of pace.
One Happy Dance for your fantastic Sunflowers! Your new project also looks great!
Happy dancing with you, but I will miss seeing those bright and bold sunflowers. I am intrigued to see where your next project goes.
Sorry I am so late commenting. I do try to comment on each post but after reading my emails I try to do a few each day – how many depends on how long before my eyes hurt, which is also why I comment on so many of your posts whilst I am here.
First congratulations on your happy dance. A beautiful finish Jenny.
Your new project looks like it will be fun too, so I await your next SAL update. x
