Hi crafty friends, I hope you are doing well. It’s a gorgeous sunny day in Scotland and spring has most definitely sprung. I’ve been sorting out the garden and it’s lovely to be outside in mild weather. I hope you are all doing well. I’m excited to share a finish with you today as well as show my next project which is well under way. So this is where I was 3 week ago…..

I was so close so it didn’t take much to finish off the project (excuse the blue light!)….

I had already decided to start on a new Barbara Ana design called Dream Girl from Creative Poppy. It’s a SAL and I think there are 4 parts out. I used the threads they recommended but changed to a cloud printed aida instead of the teal blue even weave which I couldn’t find available to me in lockdown! Here is where I am…

I’m excited to see what else will be included in the design! I’ll share more in another 3 weeks.
This SAL is organised by the lovely Avis. and it’s a bit different than many SALs because we are all working on our own projects at our own pace. It’s really helpful to me as a way of pushing me forward to complete projects (I just need to actually get them fully finished into frames etc but one step at a time!) Please visit the other SAL members blogs, they are such a talented group who are working on really beautiful projects. I’ve linked them here so you can easily find them.

Sorry I am so late commenting. I do try to comment on each post but after reading my emails I try to do a few each day – how many depends on how long before my eyes hurt, which is also why I comment on so many of your posts whilst I am here.
First congratulations on your happy dance. A beautiful finish Jenny.
Your new project looks like it will be fun too, so I await your next SAL update. x
