Happy Friday! Did you know October 16th is Dictionary Day? It’s also time for a new weekly challenge at the Daring Cardmakers Challenge. Joanne is setting our challenge this week and she needs very little excuse to celebrate words – celebrate with her by using a dictionary page, a dictionary definition or making words the focal point of your card.
I recently downloaded a printable from Calico Crafts on Etsy and I thought these Halloween Dictionary Definition words are perfect. I used a Haunted House die from Tattered Lace and some papers from the Rose Gold Memories paper pad from Craftbox UK.

I started by making a square card base with some black card. I cut a vertical panel of a book print paper and inked around the edges with some black ink. I then cut a square of a complementary paper and ripped around the edges before inking to get rid of the white edge. The haunted house was cut from black centura pearl and the windows were paper pieced with holographic card. I added a holographic moon and then layered up the definition before adding a few nuvo drops in black to finish the card off.

I would walk swiftly past this house I think!! I hope you will share your dictionary inspired projects with us this week.
Thanks so much for visiting the Ginger Ninja Crafts blog, it means so much to me.
