Aud Sentiments Challenge #257 Anything Goes!

Happy Thursday crafty friends! How are you today? I am hoping for a day without rain today (the last 2 days have been really wet and pretty cold in Scotland) so I can spend a little time in the garden. If it’s not gardening weather though, it will definitely be crafting weather so it’s not a great disaster!

Today we have a new Aud Sentiments Challenge starting and the theme is Anything Goes so everyone can join in! We were kindly sponsored by Doctor Digi who very generously allowed us to pick our own image.

I love the characters in Doctor Digi so I opted for the fabulous Green Fingers and Thumbs. I coloured her in with alcohol pens and fussy cut her out. I used a white gelly roll sakura pen to add some spots to her welly boots. I decided to go with a courgette theme as I recently purchased these super cute veggie dies from Ali Express. I cut a few courgettes in white card and coloured them to look like yellow, pale and darker green courgettes.

I made an inky background to look like the garden and added my gardener. It’s starting to be courgette season which for the last few years has meant having lots of home grown courgettes and searching for recipes to use them up! I’m a bit behind this year as slugs ate my first batch of courgettes so I’m just starting to see flowers on my plants but I am still hopeful I will have a crop! This has inspired my sentiment this year (I handstamped with these individual letter stamps from Hobbycraft!)

I hope it made any veg gardeners chuckle! Although I don’t have any impressive courgette pictures for this year I thought I would share one of my (three) aubergine plants in the greenhouse, I think this year I will be searching for some new recipes for these beauties!

I hope you will come and join in the fun in the challenge, the other Design Team members have made some really fab projects. As always thank you so much for visiting the Ginger Ninja Crafts blog!
