Cardmaking

Football Crazy!

Happy hump day crafty people! How are you today? It’s another muggy day in Scotland but at least it’s not raining ……. yet! Anything is possible, we really do get four seasons in one day here. I thought I would share a card I made yesterday, I’ve made it in a couple of different colours I liked it so much!

I used the Tonic Studios football die and a woodware football stamp for the background paper. The star embossing folder is very well used one from Tiny Tatty Teddy, Trim Craft and I think the happy birthday is a tattered lace die from a large set.

I’m not a football fan at all but my Dad was a big Aberdeen supporter so the first version is in honour of the Dons!

I also did a green one, not that I have any ties to a green team but I like the colour!

I would like to enter these cards into the following challenges:

The Male Room Challenge #141 – Birthday

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #500 – Happy Birthday

A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #122 – Anything Goes

  1. Great cards for men from two to 102 I would think. But I suggest adding blue and black to your colour choice as then I think you would cover very many of the teams throughout the UK. Of course there are other colours but apart from The Canaries (no idea what town lol ) who are yellow I cannot think of another team that does not wear one of these four colours. I am of course assuming these are to go in your shop Jenny. xx

    1. Yes I am going to add them in , great suggestion for colours, I am pretty clueless about football colours! We live just outside Edinburgh and we have a burgundy team (Hearts of midlothian) and green (Hibernian). I’m intrigued by the Canaries now, I have a mental picture of some tweeting footballers flying around the pitch!! Thanks for your comment Helen, hope you are doing well xx

  3. It makes me laugh that we, here in America, call something by a different name, than the rest of the world. I do like your football cards, even if I would call them soccer cards. 😉

    1. I totally forgot about that! Its huge in Scotland. I used to live along the road from one of the Edinburgh teams (there are 2) and on a Saturday afternoon I used to watch the crowds of people walking to the match, I’ve never been ! 😂⚽️
