Hi crafty people! How are you doing? I’m back today with a card inspired by the Cardz 4 Galz challenge #119 which asks us to use a kite. I followed a tutorial from the lovely Sam at Mixed Up Craft to make this kite fold card. I used some papers from the pile on my desk for the kite panels and the background cloud paper is from the free downloads of Polkadoodles in the Creative Stamping Magazine recently. The sentiment stamps were from an ancient magazine gift which had all sorts of flying vehicles as the theme.
I added some bakers twine and stuck some mini silver bows on. To keep the kite closed I added a velcro dot.
I think I might end up making some more of these with different patterns as they are something a bit different. Thanks to Sam for sharing the measurements, if you fancy having a go I really recommend checking out the link I shared above.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog, if you have enjoyed it I would love if you would follow and leave me a comment. Keep safe and well 🙂

Super cute! I’ve made just the kites (frilly for girls) several years back but never thought about putting them on a card front! Great idea, and yours is adorable!

That’s a really neat design. I love the layers on the kite and that fact that the kite opens. Sorry for the late commenting, but thank you for playing along with Cardz 4 Galz, Deborah. DT.
