Friday hedge-hugs!

Happy Friday crafty people!  I hope you have had a wonderful week.  I’m back with a couple of cute cards today.  I made these two hedgehogs using the Tonic Studios Harry the Hedgehog die set.  I decided to make one Harry and I used the bow from the Frankie Fox set to make a little Harriet too!

I couldn’t decide which I preferred so they both ended up on a card.  I used a leaf background die (also from Tonic studios) and a balloon die from First Edition Craft (Party dies set).  I added a stripe of patterned paper to match with the bow or tie and a stamped sentiment.  The sentiments all came from the Happy Hedgehogs set from MFT.

Back to Basics and Beyond – 1 2 3

Happy hump day crafty people!  I hope your week is going really well.  Today over at the Back to Basics and Beyond Challenge there is a new challenge today.  Challenge 25 is to make a card using

1 Topper

2 Colours

3 Gems. pearls or jewels

I hope that you will like my card and will hop over to check out the other design team makes before entering the challenge.

I made a top folding card base measuring 10.5 x 15 cm and then cut some mats and layers using pink mirror, white and the navy card (I’m choosing to include white as a neutral as well as my 2 colours!)

I made a topper using pink vellum and glitter card in navy and pink.  I cut a flag from the pink glitter, a stitched circle from the vellum and a butterfly form the navy.  I layered these up and added my 3 gems.  To finish it off I thought it needed a greeting and I layered up a couple of these hello die cuts to make it a cheery card.

DIY Thanks

Happy Monday crafty people!  Today I’m sharing my entry for the The Male Room Challenge  number 107 – DIY.

I used some tool dies from Marianne Designs and cut the hammer, screwdriver and saw.  The patterned papers came from a couple of Craft Sensations pads which are fab quality at a bargain price!  I layered up some different patterns and added a couple of enamel dots.  The tools are on a panel with some twine peeking out and it’s raised up with 3d pads.  The card is finished off with a simple “Thanks” sentiment.
