SAL Sunday – 1

Happy Sunday crafty people!  Today is a new kind of blog post for me as I’ve joined a group of lovely crafty bloggers for a stitch-a-long (SAL).  As one of my goals this year was to pick up some of my cross stitch projects this has been a great encouragement to get started and so every 3 weeks I will share the progress I’ve made.  The idea is to work on one project at a time until it is finished, I’ve got a box with quite a few works in progress so I started the month by selecting one.  I chose this cat, although I had only made a small start, I was drawn to it so it made the cut!

I’ve really enjoyed working on it in the evenings when we are sitting watching television and it’s kept my hands busy to get out of the habit of having a treat or three of an evening so hopefully will help the waistline too!  So without further ado here is my progress so far….

It’s a wee bit messy and I’m fairly sure I’ve miscounted here and there but I’m just going to keep on going and not let perfectionism stop me enjoying the process.  I hope you are finding time in 2019 to do things you enjoy without the pressure for it to be perfect!

I’m looking forward to visiting all the other blogs in this SAL group, please give them a visit too, I’ve linked them here so you can easily find them.

  1. Hurray Jenny, so glad you decided to join us. You have made excellent progress, so its not going to take long to complete your first UFO. When you have so many its hard to decide which to do first but think you made a fun choice and so glad you are enjoying the process once again xx

  2. First off, I’d like to mention that I love your ginger kitty logo ❤ Secondly, what a cute project to pick for your SAL! Many of us are cat lovers and animal lovers in general. You've made some wonderful progress and look forward to seeing him come alive.

  3. Welcome Jenny! You’ve made amazing progress on your cute kitty! You’ll find lots of other kitty projects here. When (if???) I finish my swans, I have a tiger kit gathering dust in the basement — that’s just a big kitty, right?

  4. Welcome to this SAL! I love your cat project and you have made such a huge amount of progress! I too stitch in the evenings as my husband and I watch our shows on TV. I am also not able to eat treats while stitching so it’s good for me as well.
