Cardmaking

Happy Saint Andrews Day!

Hi crafty people, how are you all doing?  I’m procraftinating with this blog post instead of tidying up my craft room so I’m squeezed into one small corner of my desk which is piled up with stuff which needs to find it’s home.  Does anyone else do this or is it just me? (please say I’m not alone hehe!).

I can’t believe it’s the end of November already but as it is Saint Andrews Day I thought I would make a wee Scottish card for the blog today.

I used the thistle die from Britannia Dies and paper pieced it before mounting it on a green tartan heart.  The scalloped heart is cut from purple centura pearl card .  The stamp is from a K Craft stamp set.

What do you think?  Is anyone celebrating Saint Andrews Day today?  I’ve got a veggie haggis for dinner which we will have with neeps and tatties (turnips and potatoes!) and a whisky sauce.  I’m sure my hubbie will also have a wee dram or two to celebrate!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Ginger Ninja Craft blog and I hope that you are having a great day wherever you are.

Crafty hugs

P.S If you would like to purchase this card it’s available from the Ginger Ninja Crafts Shop . 😉

  1. Ugh I hate haggis, though growing up it was a tradition for both St Andrews day (which Saints forgive me I forgot this year) and Burns night in January, in our house. Thank goodness Ive never been near one in the almost 50 years since I got married. Lovely card and your craft room sound just a little too familiar for comfort lol.

    1. Hehe oh dear, I’m sorry I brought up the haggis memories 😉 but I’m glad I’m not alone in the craft room muddle. It seems to happen in a flash, I spend ages clearing up my desk, blink and the mess is back!
