Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a lovely relaxing weekend pottering in the garden and going on a road trip with my husband yesterday to a see Hermitage Castle in the Scottish Borders. We even made it home for me to have a snooze on the sofa while the World Cup final was on (I’m not a football fan!).
Today I’m back with an entry for the Fusion Card Challenge ( http://fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com/ ). Here is the prompt for this week’s challenge….
The idea of the challenge is that you can use the card sketch or the photo or both to inspire your card. I’ve used both although my colour scheme is totally different! I used the Simply Succulent stamp set from Clearly Besotted Stamps again (can you tell I love Clearly Besotted yet?!)
So here is my finished card….
I used a strip of paper from a Hobbycraft 6″x 6″ paper pad called Mexican Madness. Then I stamped a small cactus and coloured it with alcohol pens (I used a mix of Spectrum Noir and First Edition Craft Markers) and a gold gel pen. I fussy cut it out and I used a sentiment stamp from the Scribbled Flowers set (also from Clearly Besotted!). I added a few spots of gold stickles to liven up the card a little and voila!
I hope that you like my card and forgive my repetition of cactus cards! Must be the recent Scottish heat wave inspiration! I’d love to hear from you if you have a chance in the comments. Have a fab Monday and I’ll see you soon.
