Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have had a great day, we have had a stormy afternoon which is perfect crafting weather although the cats were all a bit spooked by the rumbling thunder.
I’m back with another card challenge (I did warn you I’ve been a bit addicted!) and this time it’s the Freshly Made Sketches challenge 339. I’ve also decided to try the 30 day colouring challenge over on instagram organised by @Kathyrac starting today. So this card is killing 2 birds with one stone (don’t worry, no flamingos were harmed in the making of this card!)
I love the sketch this week and had fun playing with different papers etc.
I eventually decided on a flamingo theme and used a mixture of two stamp sets. The sentiment came from a Crafter’s Companion set that was a gift with Crafter’s Inspiration magazine and the rest was a For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory tropical set.
I stamped the small flamingos and heat embossed them in pink. The other corner I used the hibiscus flowers as a resist and then used distress oxide inks in seedless preserves and picked raspberry with a light spritz of water to give a light spotty effect.
Finally I coloured and fussy cut a flamingo for the top of the card and stamped the sentiment directly onto the card.
I hope you like it and manage some crafty time over the weekend. Are you participating in any card challenges or the 30 day marker challenge?
Crafty hugs
Jenny (AKA the Ginger Ninja!)
I love it Jenny. So far this sketch has stumped me. I need to get my thinking cap on that’s for sure.
Can I subscribe to your blog in any way so I get notice when you update?

Took me ages to find how to do it and once done it promptly went out of my mind again so I cant help. I think I googled how to do it in the first place – my usual strategy for most things.
